Eastern Americana
This work explores monumental artifacts of New England’s history. I am fascinated by the legacy of those who came before us, and the marks they left on our landscape.
New England does not contain untouched wilderness. Areas free from human influence do not exist. I believe that photographs of my home should reflect its history and its humanity, so in my work I seek out places where history is evident.
My objective is to examine the contemporary landscape with an empathetic eye. I hope that this perspective will allow me to better understand the decision-making processes that shaped the landscape we see today.
